Uvme Skill gaming business.
Why it’s a white elephant.
Online game market to reach $13 billion by 2011
According to a new report from DFC Intelligence the worldwide online game market is forecasted to grow from $3.4 billion in 2005 to over $13 billion in 2011. This increase is being driven by the increase in broadband households, higher PC penetration and more connected console video game systems. This is leading to a growing number of consumer subscription services, the emergence of online digital distribution and increasing acceptance of games as an advertising mechanism. During this time period North America is expected to challenge current market leader Asia as the leading region for online games. With gaming set to become a leading service industry the question is;
Is uVme going to be one of them?
Being big gaming fanatics here, we thought that uvme showed a great deal of promise. The pre-launch day in Cheltenham was a grand affair and the games that were shown on the day showed promise. Now we started to get excited.
Over the last year or so, we have busied away promoting the uvme business and the uvme games. At one point rather than uvme going forward they seemed to regress a little by bringing out retro games, in black and white I hastened to add, similar to the games that were first launched on the old Atari system, bad move (in our opinion). The games are good as a whole and provide a much better gaming experience to some of the leaders in this field.
Personally the way things have panned out from a business point of view is that uvme will not. The initial joining fee of around £200 has been significantly reduced to £114.96, this money would be better off in your pocket or put it on a rank outsider in the Grand National to win. You may just be in with a better chance of winning. (On a positive note, Russia seems to be leading the way forward, must have more money than sense.)
Why is this?
Being a network marketing business and now a good year has passed, this has been their biggest mistake, network marketing is all about product and the movement of product and no product is moving. Sure people are playing the games but playing the FREE Games. From thousands of games played in a 24 hour period at the beginning to just a few hundred (at time of writing) this speaks volumes.
And the reason for this is. It’s just too expensive. You play on a cash gaming platform for what? To win money. Unfortunately here, the odds are heavily stacked against the player as the rake fee is 25%. This means that for every 1 unit spent a quarter of that goes to the company and to the Affiliate. What this means in gaming terms is that you need a win rate of 75% just to break even. The company must have lost millions in this venture, (again and opinion).
Can they survive, well not being a soothsayer or having a crystal ball but basing this on our own results, NO definitely not, not in this way, changing the pay plan would help and taking the networking out could help, structuring it like most of the other gaming platforms and having affiliates.
TeamEplay ratings get the thumbs up for the gaming platform, it ticks all the boxes by being fun, fast and free with good gaming interaction with their own Instant Messenger. Drop by and see for yourself at uvme.com
“Eplay” ratings: 3/5
The uvme business unfortunately gets a huge thumbs down and even our own license fee of £17.23 is deemed to be too much. Our recommendation is to avoid this one for the present time at least
