Instant Action FPS
Instant Action still one of the best browser based First Person Shooters is loosing its exalted status of “The Dogs Bollocks” and fast becoming just bollocks. Time and time again we switch into FPS mode and go for a good game flying around lunar landscapes only to find……..Yep you’ve guessed it, stacked sides. Now we are all up for a good virtual punch up, note we said virtual, a passive sort of gamers us. But a good game is quickly spoilt when the sides are not even, you may as well not play which is exactly what we do. The game is quickly closed and visit at a later date when there are better players on board. Kind of what you would have thought the makers of Instant Action do not want, players leaving, don’t worry, as Arnie said most succinctly I’ll be back!!!. For a totally free browser based game they need to be attracting players. After all, the amount of work and effort that has gone into producing this awesome game and the publishers need a big congratulations for providing the globe with this game, but get rid of the side select on the shared servers. Just an opinion by the way.
Ban Children From Gaming
Is is old age, or am I on a different planet when it comes to a sense of fair play. We have posted about this before but the problem just seems to be getting worse, the side select in Instant Action. This is the button you press when choosing your side and the biggest turn off and it literally is a turn off as I shut down the game when ever this occurs.
It is all about stacking sides, Instant Action is probably the best online gaming platform around at present but the sense of fair play is pretty much non existent. One of our favourite games is CTF or Capture The Flag, a team based game where you have to score points by capturing your enemies flag and returning it you your own. The teams either 8 a side or 16 a side make a truly teriffic game if sides are even. To be totally honest I cannot see the point of playing a game if the odds totally against you. But this is down to the childish mentality of gamers who above all want to win at all costs and seem to have the fair play chip missing from their minds.
At what age does this chip get inserted?
Considering the length of time Instant Action has been around in Beta Testing the numbers of players globally is dwindling, this must have a bearing on good game play if quality players are disappearing.
Solution: Get rid of the side select or ban all children from gaming.
Instant Action is closely slipping from The Dogs Bollocks to just Bollocks
