It seems from the consensus of opinion in the comments section of Instant Actions blog, is a big thumbs down and roar of disapproval in the latest release. With all the pre launch hype on the blog and at gaming expo’s with regards to The Secrets of Monkey Island, not to mention the absence of all the original games namely Fallen Legions, this has left the regular and loyal crew fuming.

Personally I have been unable to test the game for myself as my computer does not meet the requirements for this game yet the picture tells a different story

I can fully appreciate that the gents at Instant Action want to make this platform a viable venture, nobody likes to work for nothing but this must be the fastest way to lose a loyal customer base. Having some of the best online games in the current marketplace, Fallen Legions, Rocketball, Think Tanks, this is no steps forward and half a dozen steps back.

Having been a big fan of Instant Action for some time we are kind of getting withdrawal symptoms from the lack of play while the guys at IA are updating their site. Reading their blog there are some very exciting developments that are coming to fruition which is eleviating our withdrawal. Now we are in anticipation. The great thing about Instant Action is that you can play these browser based games for FREE.

No more waiting hours for your game to download, with the instant action software a 2 gig game can be downloaded to your browser within 2 – 5 minutes. Monkey Island and all other Instant Action games can be played through facebook.

Instant Action still one of the best browser based First Person Shooters is loosing its exalted status of “The Dogs Bollocks” and fast becoming just bollocks. Time and time again we switch into FPS mode and go for a good game flying around lunar landscapes only to find……..Yep you’ve guessed it, stacked sides. Now we are  all up for a good virtual punch up, note we said virtual, a passive sort of gamers us. But a good game is quickly spoilt when the sides are not even, you may as well not play which is exactly what we do. The game is quickly closed and visit at a later date when there are better players on board. Kind of what you would have thought the makers of Instant Action do not want, players leaving, don’t worry, as Arnie said most succinctly I’ll be back!!!. For a totally free browser based game they need to be attracting players. After all, the amount of work and effort that has gone into producing this awesome game and the publishers need a big congratulations for providing the globe with this game, but get rid of the side select on the shared servers. Just an opinion by the way.
